Herman is an awesome tyer and does some very lifelike stuff. The articulated tail has worked very well when I have used the fly so I'm sure that your version of the pattern will do great too. He has done a lot of tying demos around town here and I think that he is now selling DVD's of his patterns so you can tie them at home. Worth a look because some of his techniques are unique and might serve as inspiration for your own concoctions!n.taylorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01122100496321327809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3710330515570809262.post-18786763880929036542011-04-08T14:53:30.998-07:002011-04-08T14:53:30.998-07:00thanks for the tip Dean, I was using what I had ar...thanks for the tip Dean, I was using what I had around.

Kevin: Thanks for answering back, I will have to get me someDustin's Fly Boxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06092709071195192017noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3710330515570809262.post-15253691069288120212011-04-08T14:27:41.585-07:002011-04-08T14:27:41.585-07:00Dustin, tye some of those with "Mono Bug Eyes...Dustin, tye some of those with "Mono Bug Eyes" so the pattern will be lighter for various applications. I'd also recommend making the "attachment Loop" with 30 lb. gel spun (so it won't rot soo quickly)..
