I got a call yesterday from one of my clients asking if I can tie 6 dozen flies in one day.... Luckly they were very easy to tie. Nothing special but they were simple and easy to tie. They are called The Bream Stream and then their is a second version but I didn't get the name it. But it gave me a reason to make a post. So here are the 2 patterns. They told me this is a huge bluegill pattern in Ohio. I got some more patterns coming here in the next day or so. These patterns are very close to the same but still fun to tie. It reminded me of a pattern that I planned to tie from anyway at Fly
that's a HUGE day. wow! nice work.
ReplyDeleteThanks D.. Granted it wasn't my highest volume day but I cranked out 6 dozen in 2.5 hours.
ReplyDeletethanks for dropping by my blog, dustin! i have to admit, i know nothing about fly fishing but my dad gave me his old fly rod because i've always wanted to give it a try (in water—ha!)
ReplyDeleteif i ever get to the point of needing flies, i know where to go now. :o)
That is really tying Dustin, I like the flies have to try them on the Blue Gill and Fliers here in North Carolina. Thanks for putting them up.
ReplyDeleteI couldn't wrap 6 dozen hooks with thread in a single day. Yor a tying machine.
ReplyDeleteThe bottom pic is similar to a bug I use for smallmouth. I put a small peice of foam near the back underside to make it standup off the bottom a bit.
Thats a good idea Kevin. If anyone wanted to know the tail is red fox and I am sure you guys can figure out the rest
ReplyDeleteNow that's a big order! Those are some good looking flies!
